Veasey Park

Veasey Memorial Park was purchased for conservation and recreational purposes by the Town of Groveland in 1996, using grants received from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Environmental Management ($694,000), funds raised at Town Meeting ($160,000) and a donation from the descendants of the original Veasey family ($100,000).  Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Veasey had built a summer residence for their family on the property in 1909. Arthur D. Veasey died in 1927.
