David “Whitey” Houyt Jr’s success in racing came later in life. At age 32, he finished 2nd in points in the “B” Division at the Pines and Hudson. Earlier wins came at the Dover NH Speedway on both Dirt and Pavement. We mostly remember his upright Red and White number 17 JR racecar that had so much success at the triangle Lee Raceway in the late 60s. - 2024 Special Guest Speaker: Dick Berggren
